From the Port of Salerno to the Amalfi Coast
Twenty-five kilometres that cost fifty minutes: the road above the sea cannot be hurried, and that is exactly why you came.

Where we meet
At the port terminal, a short walk from the ship, with a name sign. We agree the expected docking time in advance and, above all, your back-on-board time: it is the second one that shapes the whole day.
The drive
The SS163 from Vietri sul Mare onwards: one lane each way, tight hairpins, and the scheduled coaches meeting each other on the bends. Amalfi is twenty-five kilometres and nearly an hour; in high season more, and there is no making it up.

What the price covers
- Motorway tolls and fuel
- Airport waiting, up to 60 minutes after landing
- Meet and greet at arrivals with a name sign
- Flight tracking, and a pick-up that moves if you land late
- Luggage, within what the vehicle holds
- A child seat, on request
Worth knowing
- Your back-on-board time is set by the ship, not by us: we put it at the top and build the day backwards from it. If there isn’t time for two villages, we say so before we set off, not halfway.
- Guided visits inside the sites are led by licensed tourist guides and booked directly with them. We do the driving: we take you, we wait, and we bring you back to the ship.
- Some stops along the SS163 are not possible with a long vehicle: if you want to pause for a photograph, say so beforehand and we will pick a point where the vehicle fits.
Questions about this route
Will we make it back on board in time?
We put your back-on-board time at the top and build the day backwards from it. If there isn’t time for two villages we tell you before we set off, not halfway.
Can you guide us around Amalfi or Ravello?
No, and it is not modesty: guided visits inside the sites are led by licensed tourist guides and booked directly with them. We take you, we wait, and we bring you back to the ship.

Positanofrom Naples 1h 30minHouses stepping down to the sea. The road through town is not closed: it is a one-way loop, and the last stretch is on foot.
