Luxury Service di Francesco Bianca is a licensed private-hire company: transfers between the airports and the cities, and days out to the places in the region. Small on purpose — whoever answers you knows which trip you mean.
How we work
One channel
The request, the confirmation and the last-minute change of time all go through the same channel, and whoever replies has the whole booking in front of them. No switchboard, and no starting over with every message.
A firm price, before you set off
We agree it when you book and it stays that way: no meter, nothing added on arrival. If something changes the trip, we say so first.
Italian and English
The two languages we answer in, confirm in and talk in on board. Half the passengers between Naples and Rome come off an international flight. If you’d rather have quiet, you get quiet.
Licensed private hire
Private hire with driver, licensed by the municipality, with the number at the foot of every page. Not red tape: it is the difference between an authorised operator and anyone with a black car.

When the car isn’t ours
The V-Class is ours and we drive it ourselves. For a saloon, or when the V-Class is already out, we pass the job to a fellow licensed private-hire operator we have worked with for years. When that happens we tell you before confirming: knowing who is picking you up is part of the service.

How long he has been driving
He did not come from taxis and he did not come from buses: private hire is the first driving job he has done, and so far the only one. Before that it was the interest of anyone who has an opinion about every car that goes past — the difference is that at some point he turned it into a job, with the licence it takes.
Why this work
Two things that do not usually go together: travelling, and being around people. A transfer between Naples and Rome is three hours on the road with someone you did not know that morning, and by the end you know where they came from and where they are going. That is the part he likes, and it is why he is usually the one driving.
Where he is from
Born and raised in Ercolano — Naples, with Vesuvius behind the house and the excavations ten minutes away. He knows the area the way you know the place you grew up in: not the directions a satnav gives, but what time the coast road seizes up and which way to go when it does.
Where the hospitality comes from
The San Cristoforo, in Ercolano, is in the family. What it means to look after someone — a clean car, a time that is kept, no surprises at the end — is something he saw before he learned it.
What passengers say
Two things, and always the same two: that he turns up on time, and that the ride is smooth. The second one you only notice when it is missing — no sudden acceleration, no late braking, speed that comes off before the bend rather than in it. People who sleep in cars keep sleeping.
